Lift8 Solution
Revolutionary solution for lift communication
THE SIMPLEST
installation in the world
Are you looking for a reliable lift communication system that conforms to strict safety standards and is easy to install? Then the 2N® Lift8 is the ideal solution for you. It not only meets applicable EU standards and is easy to install, but it’s also exceptional in its high degree of modularity.
Unlike competing systems, 2N® Lift8 uses a mere two-wire bus for connecting communication units in the lift shaft. This makes overall installation much simpler, by not having to bother with installing new cabling. And that’s not all – the 2N® Lift8 allows you to choose the communication interface that suits you best and to choose the modules that you need for each particular installation. So you’re not paying for something you will never use. If you want to expand the project in the future, all you have to do is buy the necessary module, which you then simply connect to the existing installation.
CENTRAL UNIT (ord n.918600E)
2N® Lift8 central unit is the main component of the system which provides the battery backup for all connected communication units. It also holds one of 4 communication interfaces you can choose from GSM/UMTS/PSTN/VoIP.
CABIN UNIT - COP MOUNT (ord n.918610E)
Communication unit to be put behind COP, including loudspeaker, microphone (HandsFree operation), LEDs. Necessary terminals and door opening signal input is also provided.
CABIN UNIT - SURFACE MOUNT (ord n.918613E)
A robust, metal-encased audio unit, provided with an ALARM button of the prescribed size, including backlit pictograms behind hardened glass. It offers easy wall surface mounting with 16-mm thickness only. This surface mount cabin unit is especially suitable for modernizations.
CABIN UNIT - FLUSH MOUNT (ordn.918618E)
Anti-vandal version of the audio unit for installation in a lift cabin with a 1.5mm stainless steel cover. The original ALARM button on the lift COP can be easily connected. The stainless steel cover includes the required pictograms and operating instructions.
MACHINE ROOM UNIT (ord n.918611E)
Audio unit for machine rooms, including siren and keypad. Can communicate with any audio unit and program whole 2N® Lift8 system without a PC. Can be set as a multiple-lift communicator.
SHAFT UNIT (ord n.918612E)
Audio unit to be installed in the lift shaft, under and at the top of the lift cabin. A robust yellow cover, handsfree mode, ALARM and CONFERENCE CALL backlit buttons, indication elements. Not intended for cabin use.
VOICE ALARM STATION (ord n.913662ESET)
The 2N® Voice Alarm Station audio unit ensures emergency communication from the cabin roof or from the space under the cabin to a pre-set telephone number. It is a cost effective version of a shaft unit (918612E) without the conference call option.
FIREMAN UNIT (ord n.918615E)
The 2N® Lift8 Fireman Unit is an audio unit that enables communication between a fire lift cabin and the fire department staging area in accordance with EN81-72. It is activated by turning the switch to position “1” and pressing the “TALK” button, enabling you to communicate with the lift cabin.
CAMERA MODULE (ord n.918622E)
The 2N® Lift8 Camera module is the security part of a system that, in the event of an emergency or at the request of an operator, sends a visual record of the current situation inside a lift. This recording medium also stores data at pre-set intervals on a memory card and can therefore be of great help, for example, when investigating vandalism in a lift cabin. In addition, it can operate as an independent unit without being connected to the remaining components of the 2N® Lift8 system.
I/O MODULE (ord n.918621E)
Module with four logical inputs, and four relay outputs. On one central unit is possible to connect up to 8 I/O modules.
SPLITTER (ord n.918620E)
For connection of next lift. On one central unit can be up to 8 lifts, it means up to 7 splitters. Includes contact for blocking of elevator if any failure appears.
SW Application
2N® LIFT8 SERVICE TOOL 2N® LIFT8 SERVER
The 2N® Lift8 Service Tool is software used for local (USB) or remote (IP) configuration of one complete 2N® Lift8 communication system (audio messages, additional modules, splitters and I/O modules). It can also display an online diagram of all connected units, which enables you to perform a rapid check. In addition, it offers the option of uploading your own user messages and logging 2N® Lift8 system operations for simpler and faster technical
support, if necessary.
The 2N® Lift8 Server is a service that runs in the background in Windows. All information about the system, users and control and alarm calls is stored in the database on the server. The 2N®Lift8 Communicator and 2N®Control Panel applications then connect to the server to obtain the necessary data.
2N® LIFT8 COMMUNICATOR 2N® LIFT8 CONTROL PANEL
The 2N® Lift8 Communicator is a user application for the administration of alarm calls. In the event of an incoming emergency call, all data about the lift is displayed, including a map with information on the location of the lift and the option of making notes. This is a VoIP client. A condition for operation is the installation of 2N® Lift8 Server software on any computer and connection to the same network as the
2N® Lift8 Communicator.
The 2N® Lift8 Control Panel enables complete system set-up and administration. With the help of this software, you can set up detailed information on individual communicators, their addresses, the method of answering alarm/control calls, etc. It also allows you to establish new users and administer their rights to access or control 2N® Lift8 Control Panel and 2N® Lift8 Communicator software applications (e.g. technicians’ rights to
service a group of lifts).
